My first blog post ever

Hello and welcome to my first blog post EVER.

It has been many years since facing a blank page I wanted to fill. After staring at it for a while I figured what the heck, the best way to start my blog is to introduce myself and be thankful for all the people and circumstances that have helped me to come to this point.

If you do not already know me, I am a mom of two wonderful children and moved from Europe to the US in 2004.  An Architect by trade I have always had a passion for creative designs in buildings and clothes alike. I traveled the world for many years (ahh, the  carefree years…) and lived in Australia for 5 years. Living and working in Hamburg instilled a new sense of fashion and chic in me before I moved to the US.

Was the next semi-logical step after I made changes to my employment-life this summer and almost simultaneously came across an amazing designer in Australiasia (Australian/Asian region). The children clothes I was introduced to struck a cord in me.  I had not seen clothes like that around here or anywhere else on my travels for that matter. They are both vintage and trendy; both distinct, yet comfy. The best word my friend Jackie and I could come up with to describe them was eclectic. An entrepreneur at heart I took the opportunity and ran with it, bringing the Style to you all.

At this point I would like to thank my patient husband who just goes along with my drive and “great” ideas. With his blessing, organizing the start-up of BodaciousKids has and still is fun and….a lot of work. I could not have done it without the input and support of melodydowdyphotography who has been there for me from day 1. Extreme thanks also go to Leeper to saved me from a “I-have-no-website-syndrome”. Then there are the wonderful models that made the line come to live as well as model-moms and –dads that chauffeured them around ;0). I thank Kayla for helping me with the company name and Jessica, my wonderful overseas contact.

So, were do we go from here?
The BdK-Blog is intended to be a place we can share and discuss information. Really anything that you want to bring to the table can be discussed and I so wish for a blog-community that can exchange useful information as well as personal experiences and opinions. I will post information about fashion and trend as well as other seemingly unrelated topic.

My first question
To all of you would be: What do you expect of an online-business in terms of packaging of the items you purchased? For me, packaging is important. Simple but trendy is better than any expensive but un-trendy packaging. Does that make sense? On the other hand I appreciate the effort put worth, even if it is not my taste. Effort counts A LOT. Share what you think!
